PES continues to play a significant role in the development of materials and procedures within the Additive Manufacturing discipline. 2017 included PES’s involvement with, and exhibiting at, the 2017 RAPID+TCT Show in Pittsburgh, Pa. A technical paper presented at the conference included results from Mechanical, Metallurgical, and Chemical analysis performed at PES on Electron Beam Direct-Energy Deposition Additive Manufacturing test builds. This project compared the attributes of (3) test builds using identical materials with varying deposition rates. PES has been awarded a contract to perform similar testing on at least (1) more test build.
PES will again be exhibiting and participating in the RAPID+TCT Conference in April 2018 in Ft. Worth, TX (Booth # 946). Information about this event can be found using the link below. 2018 will also include more work with the Metal Powder Bed Fusion Process and Powder Stock Characterization. Furthermore, we will continue to work with those who are developing AM qualification processes similar to those accepted in the welding industry.
We look forward to the advancement of this technology in both processes and applications. Please give us a call to discuss how we can be a part of your Additive Manufacturing future.
